 Ms Olivia Quintanilla's Music lessons is looking for exceptionally skilled violin, viola, and cello teachers to join the studio for the 2025-26 school year. Preference to multi instrumentalists. Acoustic Bass and acoustic guitarists may also be considered. The space is available to teach weekly lessons Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-8pm at 324 main St Suite 240 Stillwater, Mn 55082.

Requirements:

Experience: 2-4+ years experience working with students age 8-14 in individual music instruction; Bachelor's degree (BM or BA) in music performance, music education or related field.

Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check and provide two references that can speak on your experience as a music instructor.

Location: 324 Main Street Suite 240, Stillwater, MN - This is a large one room office set up for music lessons. This is a shared space with the primary teacher, Ms Olivia Quintanilla. 

Details:

This is a contract position and not full time employment. Music teachers are expected to have their own teaching materials and decide on how to manage lessons (assignments, lesson pace, time management, etc). They will have access to office accommodations such as a printer/copier, pencils, whiteboards and markers, various chairs and music stands. All other equipment is the sole responsibility of teacher and student.

Teachers will have control over their own schedule and are expected to give ample notice to their assigned students if a conflict arises (2-6 weeks in advance is preferred). Teachers are responsible to keep their lesson calendar up to date along with accurate availability for new student inquiries. The studio will offer new student inquiries that match with the teacher, teachers are also allowed to add their own students they acquired independently.

Teachers are responsible to keep track of attendance and record their lesson attendance using the studios calendar and invoicing website, Mymusicstaff.com. This attendance and calendar will be how your payment is determined. Teachers are responsible to adhere to a professional and positive learning environment that is aligned with the studios values. Teachers are responsible for the space maintenance, including keeping a clean appearance, locking doors and keeping the heat or AC to an appropriate level before leaving for the night.

Payment:

Teachers will be paid biweekly, paid per lesson. Teacher rate minus $7 person lesson that the studio keeps for administration and rental fees, (ex: teacher rate of $40 -$7 = $33 paid per lesson)
